This is Thompson’s crown jewel. It is the event that resonates nationally throughout the industry. This year’s version boasts 18 divisions, resulting in a total car count of nearly 375. Friday will be enhanced once again this year with the addition of the Granite State Pro Stock Series, Senior Tour Auto Racers, and an amateur race which will be put on by The Racing School. This will complement the existing hauler parade, and the championship event for the Late Models.
Saturday has become an increasingly popular day over the past two years, as it features the championship events for the American-Canadian Tour, Valenti Modified Racing Series, and Northeastern Midget Association. A total of nine events will be run on Saturday evening. This caps off a day full of practice and qualifying.
Sunday is one of the most anticipated days in short track racing, as it features the winged Super Modifieds, traveling down the straightaway at nearly 150 miles per hour, as well as the final championship event for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
A total of five divisions will be in competition. The day starts off with the annual family hayrides with drivers.
