61st Thompson Sunoco World Series Schedule, Divisions Announced for October 6-8

Barre, VT and Naples, ME ­— After months of planning, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials are excited to announce the planned schedule and divisions for the three-day 61st Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park beginning on Friday, October 6 and culminating on Sunday, October 8. 16 divisions of racing are set to join the annual festival that will feature everything from full-fendered Super Late Models and Street Stocks through the Mighty Tour-type Modifieds of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Pro Trucks, NEMA Midgets and more!

It all starts Friday, October 6 with the opening program for the Sunoco World Series. Six divisions open the festivities with the Thompson Late Models crowning their 2023 track champion while both the Mighty Mini Stock Tour and the Milton CAT Modified Racing Series crowning their touring champions on Friday. Starting at 5:00pm, Friday will also feature the Senior Tour Auto Racers (STAR) Vintage Modifieds and Late Models while the Sunoco Modifieds return to contest the first of three 30-lap features to determine the Sunoco Modified World Series Triple Crown Champion.

Saturday brings a world-class program headlined by the return of the $10,000-to-win Sunoco 100 for the Thompson Outlaw Open Modifieds after an ultra-successful debut at last years’ World Series. Saturday will also feature the Super Late Model Open 75, Street Stock Open 40, Limited Sportsman track championship event and the New England Supermodified Series (NESS). Post Time is set for 2:15pm and fans will also get Round #2 for the Sunoco Modified Triple Crown and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Time Trial Qualifying for Sunday’s 150-lap showdown.

Speaking of Sunday, the final day of the 61st Sunoco World Series will be headlined by the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour World Series 150 presented by FloSports.com. While the Evolve Bank Pro Trucks and NEMA Midgets return to the Sunoco World Series, Sunday will also feature championship final rounds for the Thompson Mini Stock and SK Light Modified  track championships along with the Sunoco Modified World Series Triple Crown championship. Post Time for Sunday is set for 12:10pm.

The Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park oval is back in action for the final showdown of the 2023 season with the 61st Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing. The thrilling three-day weekend will feature 16 divisions of racing vying to go down in history as a World Series champion! Three-Day general admission is set at $75 for adults, $30 for children 12-6 and free for kids 5 and under. Two-Day, Saturday and Sunday general admission is available at $60 for adults, $15 for children 12-6 and free for kids 5 and under.
