Thompson, CT — Jake Johnson nabbed the pole position with a ‘+5’ handicap earned in heat two with former track champion Brian Tagg lined up alongside for the 50 lap Late Model Fall Showdown. After a pair of quick spin cautions to start the show, Johnson led the single-file line in the early going as Tagg soon fell under pressure from Matt Lowinksi-Loh, Jake Burns and Tyler Chapman. A lap 23 caution for Adam Pettey’s backstretch spin set up Lowinski-Loh’s lead on the restart with a missed shift for Johnson. Later, contact between the two allowed Monahan and Burns a chance at the front with ‘Rowdy’ Burns leading the fray. Burns would later miss a shift on the final restart with four laps remaining to but battled back for a photo finish with Matt Lowinski-Loh at the line. Lowinski-Loh took the $3,000 win by 0.054-seconds over Burns with Brian Tagg taking third.
Ronnie Williams rolled off with the ‘+2’ earned in the first heat with heat two winner Chris Pasteryak to his outside nerf bars. Williams launched off under the green flag and put on a clinic to lead all 50 laps in the final Wednesday Night Dash for Cash en-route to the $5,000 win over Pasteryak and Jacob Perry. The field was slowed just once for the spinning Chase Cook on lap 17 but otherwise the field was trying to chase down Ronnie Williams out front.

Yet another spirited battle of old between longtime rivals Todd Owen and Keith Rocco started off the 30-lap main event for the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds with the two veterans swapping the lead after getting around polesitter Zack Sangermano. Once Rocco got out in clean air, he was lights out on the field en route to win #4 on the season followed by Danny Cates and Owen across the stripe.
It was the Hatfields and McCoys in the Mini Stocks with multiple slam-bang cautions ultimately deciding the finish. At the line, as point leader Dave Trudeau slammed into the turn two wall, Rich LaFlesh took down the win with Bill Porter and Randy Churchill rounding out the podium.
The Street Stocks looked to be all in the clutches of Limington, Maine’s Wade Gelinas as he looked to win the 20 lap main event Wednesday night until post-race technical inspection. With multiple infractions in the engine bay, Gelinas was stripped of the win with Lowell’s George Baldwin handed the win, Andrew Gillis moved up to second and Aaron Plemons rounded out the top three.
Rookie Austin Goff showed the way in the SK Light Modifieds but it was point leader Nick Hovey taking the lead on lap 14 and planting his foot to the firewall for win #5 in the green-to-checkered 20 lap showdown on Wednesday night. Goff held on for second with Meghan Fuller rounding out the podium.
Ethan Williams launched from shotgun on the field to take his fourth win of the season over Maine invader Tucker Haskill and Tyrese Mello.
